It's been almost four years since Santigold released her debut album (although she hasn't been completely absent all that time), but she's finally gearing up for her sophomore release, titled Master of My Make Believe. The first single, "Big Mouth" surfaced online Wednesday. Several people have noticed that it has a more MIA vibe to it, especially coupled with the video released for it. The album will also feature "Go" with Karen O, which debuted last year. Expect her album on April 23rd.

In addition to the At The Drive-In reunion news at the beginning of the month, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and Cedric Bixler Zavala and co. of the prog rock band The Mars Volta have recently announced their seventh album, Noctourniquet due out March 27th. There are several live versions of the songs already floating around on Youtube. You can see a track-listing at the band's website as well as a press release here.
Despite all of the press she's been getting- good and bad, I am really looking forward to Lana Del Rey's full-length album Born To Die coming out January 31st. Her Youtube channel posted final versions of the demos "National Anthem" and "This is What Makes Us Girls." Both tracks have been slowed down, with "National Anthem" given a more mellow feel instead of the original poppy summery sound and "This Is What Makes Us Girls" which has been made more R&B-ish.
Electro pop band Miike Snow are due to release their second album Happy to You on March 26th. The first song "Devil's Work" was released last month, and "Paddling Out" has been released this week as the followup.

School of Seven Bells is band that only recently entered my iTunes. This duo specializes in eighties sounding dream pop and shoegaze. They have released three new tracks for their upcoming album, Ghostory. The catchy first song "The Night" was released last month, and the most recent single "Lafaye" is available on iTunes and has an awesome b-side "Love from a Stone" as well. Look out for their third album this spring.
